8/28/2022 West Union pt27 to pt24. This was 11.13mi out and back total miles. I parked at the Brown covered bridge which is pt27. Went through the covered bridge and there was also two places with issues in this walk. When the trail crosses US68 to Hauke Rd, this if fine to the bridge but where goes it go from here. There looks like there is a path but i did not attempt it. Instead i crossed the bridge and walked down the road near by. You do see the exit from Hauke Rd. further down both entrances from US68 say no outlet. Further down the turn onto Kimball Ford Rd it is marked private drive at the other end the road it out and has been torn out by owner with permission of township apparently. I ran into them as they were returning in the horse and buggy - i assume maybe incorrectly Mennonite or Amish from that and how they were dressed. I spoke with the lady for a few minutes and she allowed me to pass on the driveway no issues. They are aware the trail comes through here. My first encounter with a Mennonite or Amish person and wanted to ask questions but did not wish to pry. Overall this lead me to just stay on US68 as i walked back. I stopped after at Lake Manor Restaurant and I had the fried chicken dinner with the salad bar. Quite good and the place seems popular with locals.
