11/20/2021 from different boat ramp- marked as parking area. To pt 8 and back to pt 11. This is mostly on perimeter trail but also some road walk. The road section gave me the idea to use the road to short cut back to parking. Note the parking area from google it does not know about the boat ramp nor the road off twin bridge to get there. If you use google maps it will have you walk the hunting tail and tell you to cross the river which is not cross able here. So take main road 133 to twin bridge till you see sign for boat ramp and go to the end. Also at the end of twin bridge rs it is a single lane road to the parking area there at pt 11 and can pick up trail either direction. The map of the walk is sorta funny but it does show most of the walk goes out in to the woods either along the lake or river and then comes back to the road so the road is a straight path and the woods is not.
Many hunters out today. I was taken as a hunter more than a hiker. Only saw one other hiker. Heard many many gunshots in the woods. Activity is in the wildlife area so to be expected.Total distance was 8.5 and not sure on distance of the buckeye trail. Miles on buckeye trail will calculate from map by points.
