7/14/2024 New Straitsville pt27 to pt23

Met Dave and Victoria at pt23 trail head parking and camping here.  We drove to pt 27.  There is 2 ways we saw and the north path is a bit more challenging and would recommend the south back to 93 and up slip rd.  The hike was very nice some muddy spots out on the trail.  Came home covered from knees down and hiking poles covered.  Survived and it all will wash off.  I was stuck in a mud hole and almost fell over a bit getting out.

Many spots in here have pine needles covered path and looks like here coming to a spot where the canopy opens and maybe a meadow

Quite a few signs like this.  Here there is a side trail to a different trailhead.

These rocks frame the trail well here

Dave and Victoria typically do lunch out on the trail.  Here a nice down tree proved a nice bench.

I think was the turn we missed and the turn is almost a double back down a hill
