8/4/2024 Defiance pt21 to pt17
This was a nice hike mostly on the former ME canal towpath.  Krista, Dave, and Victoria were also there.
11.80 miles total
Bt sections complete 12
Loveland, Ceasar Creek, Troy, Williamsburg, St. Marys, Delphos, West Union, Sinking Spring, Shawnee, Scioto Trail, Old Man's Cave.
Bt miles 1 way based on complete sections
45.9mi + 55.1mi + 51.9mi + 51.7mi + 45.5mi + 46.5mi + 58.5mi + 53.9mi + 55.7mi + 61.2mi + 52.5mi +60.6mi = 639mi

NCT total this year 185.82mi + 10mi= 195.82mi
Bt total this year 195.81mi + 11.80mi= 207.61mi
Total for year 233.24mi + 11.80mi= 245.04mi
Today is day 217 of year,  on track for 365


The hike overall


Saw these murals on the drive from Lima and had to stop to get pictures
They were about a block apart.


The other mural also in Bluffton.


We adjusted out hike to be sure we hit 21 from parking.

This is a historic building.  There are a number of markers around the area.

I believe this is where the NCT leaves the Buckeye Trail


We see a number of these as we go through I believe Toledo Metroparks along the river and towpath.
