I started Friday night with a stay in Piqua to get an jump start on my drive.  I was to meet the taxi at the Bellevue Community Center at 10am they were early and that was fine.  I was the second hiker they had picked up in total.  Worked well and price was not bad.  Cold day but glad I got a few miles in.

Total was 11.19 miles

Bt sections complete 14

This hike

Met the taxi here.  They have a restrooms asked to use- no issue.

Left Hamster here

Where I was dropped off

Many trail pictures.  Some have snow, but to be honest it was not much snow and ice.

These concrete markers I think are about the old railroad.

The NCIT is a beautiful trail here

Railroad sign i think off to the right

They have mile markers like this along the trail.
About every .5 miles

A few bridges along the way here

Sign about the overlook

View from the overlook

Basically when the view changed i grabbed a picture of the trail. Here we see a few things coming up

Signage for bike route and the NCIT

NCIT sign in Monroeville

Another mile marker

There are some places really open others much more tree coverage.  This helps greatly with sun and wind.

It was cold 20-30s and was warm but it was cold enough when I took my gloves off i knew it for sure.  The face cover helps here alot.  I had extra gear in backpack such as heavier glove and full balaclava but I did not need it.

Another concrete w marker

Bridge

Here we go over a road

Busy road for the area, did not realize I was this high above.

Love all these signs about various things along the trail.  It shows how much volunteers and the communities care about it.

Here a sign saying services in Monroeville turn off trail.

Cool old barn

Another bridge

This one scared me a bit.  Seemed icy and took very slow.

Railroad off one side and the river

Other side is frozen river

Lots of trailhead offering access here.  Many show the sponsor and again the ties to the community.

This is train station and there seems to be some reuse of the building here

Not sure purpose of building here.  I reminds me of some of the old cincinnati bell buildings

The view overall and parking lot

The sign here not sure is still used or fake info.

NCIT Fireman's rails to trails group

B concrete marker

Small park next to building

C concrete marker

Quite a list of rules here

Snow was patchy a bit more here

Coming to an opening here

A bit different marker

Cross road here

A c marker a bit off the trail

More snow

Here it is on the other side of railroad
Certainly seems related

I thought this was interesting, Kodak funded the bridge.  Where is Kodak here?

Bridge paid for by Kodak

Another nice sign about the trail

Nice trail head

Across the road.  The trail seems more 2 track here than full path

Another view of trail

Railroad bridge

Starting to get back to town.  Another rd crossing.

Looks similar but another road crossing

Another trail marker
