Drove out after work on Thursday August 17 2023. Mom came with to lodge and why I was at lodge at first the plan was camping. Dinner was McDonalds and nothing special besides we arrived at Shawnee Lodge and the trailfest had begun for us or me. She was there for the lodge and relaxation, I on the other hand was there for the event.
Day One Friday August 18 2023
First sighting of kittens. They were outside the lodge. There is a pipe in ground here and they were playing and the one loved to play in the bush.
So when I first booked I had camping as my way to stay. But since had mom we changed to lodge and Dave and Victoria could then make use of my camping spot. I went down and setup a tent just to hold a spot before it was too late since they were coming in Saturday.

Went to Scioto Ribber for dinner in portmounth Friday since I only did meal plan for Saturday. I would say that is one benefit of trailfest and so many options for meals. Went here since I have heard so many good things about this place.

Ah yes 32oz ribeye lol very good and way too much but it was gone somehow.

Day 2 Saturday August 19 2023

After this came back to lodge. Dave and Victoria were eager to hike. Dropped them off past pt 13 and they came back to pt 14 for car. Shortly after Merri Carol was also wanting a bit more so tried to catch them but no luck must have been about 30 minutes later. Wanted to be sure I met up with her at 14 when she was out to give a ride out back to lodge. I should have just hiked it. 😀

After dinner went out to group camp. Took down place holder tent and helped Dave with the Rei tent they were staying in that night.
Day 3 Sunday August 20 2023

I'm not sure what the sign is there. Most of the trail was like this looks like dirt 4x4 track.

These signs in this park have white signs like this. Sorta odd have not seen this elsewhere.
