4.65 miles out and back total. Went to Eastwood metro park and wanted to try and see the trails here. It's a bit odd to find from parking. I did not park at point 4 but a parking next to it across the river. I walked down to the airforce museum and back then past my parking to point 4. This is troy section of buckeye trail. Yes doing more of a section and not completing others. I will wrap some of these this year I hope.

1/29/2022 total 10.42 miles all bt not on nct. Went to boat ramp at ceasar creek pt 11 on young road. Walked to pt 13 this is parking area with a ramp to paintersville rd. I need to walk this section pt 13 to pt 14 this is 2.5 mile road walk into spring valley. I walked similar but it was on the bike trail. During this walk I passed a hunting parking area which is near pt 12 as you cross New Burlington rd.

2/26/2022 parked at flat fork ridge trailhead recreation area. This is also a picnic area / parking area right before visitor center. Went to half a mile of bike path at end of ceasar creek section. I turned around to meet a friend that was in town. Got a later than normal start.
Total distance out and back was 7.37mi and made a good pace. This is mostly road walk. The hills are quite steep and heavy lift for me. The one is the path in ceasar gorge and it paved. The gorge loop which leads to the road was heavy mud.

2/27/2022 ceasar creek pt 3 flat ridge recreation area to pt 5 day lodge. Total 6.83 miles all buckeye not nct miles. Road walk to visitor center is .7 to .9 miles. Here there is a side path paved for yellow trail, I believe this is all buckeye and yellow trail. Once in the woods this is heavily winding and hilly. Today was extremely muddy. There is a crossing to old road and nice view, from here it is about 1.1 miles to day lodge.

3/19/2022 Loveland pt 5 to pt 1. Finally loveland section is done. Parked at Walmart and walked up to pt 5 and then along the sidewalks to Eden Park. This is not NCT but it is BT. It is also ADT, which is surprizing since could go down the other way near pt 7. This was one way and uber back to walmart. 6.92 mi
I should go back and explorer some other other ways seen here. Lunken and the park there where the ohio river trail is the further bits of the little miami scenic park.

However this I walked out and back so I walked back to the car. It was was an awesome day weather wise no rain a bit of wind and it was sort of a humid but survivable.
First longer hike I'm preparing for the eggs hike at burr oak. I feel it and burr oak will be much tougher since it is hilly versus flat today.

7/3/2022 St. Marys Pt14 Lake Loramie State Park to Pt10 Newport. Second day of trip after night at Lake Loramie State Park campground. Total out and back was 15.52mi. It was heavy on road walk to be honest and it was super hot roasted along these miles but made good speed and fast miles here. The off road aka woods parts are nice and very smooth besides 1 point there is a major down hill and almost immediately after a return to same level. The campground is tricky and I mean the camp along the trail that you go through. The blue blazes are on the telephone poles and hard to follow and you can easy miss the turn toward the bridge. There is a Casey's similar to speedway right off trail. It is 1.7miles from pt14 campground and basically it is pt13. Coffee in morning and water and gatoraid on way back. There is a public bathroom here as well.

Nice walk to the church where st marys section ends and delphos begins. About half of this is nicely off road and woods on both sides the rest it is off road but you are just on a hill. 11/25/2022 I went to Germantown metropark again to finish the remaining trails. Started with white loop then blue and the remaining part of the yellow. After that I moved over to the Brown and purple. I remembered the purple but forgot brown also I apparently missed a section of orange by purple I must have shortcuted here since I done remember the meadows and road crossings. Went to Delphos. I planned as over night trip and stay at microtel. Day one parked near Delphos pt6 at the creamery toward pt5 and was semi impacted by the reroute in town due to 66 shutdown. But once I figure that out not much issue. I walked to the lock20 sign and back. I also left my map my walk on after I left so about 7.5mi total
The next morning I tried to go to the parking access for the trail but the gate was locked and did not stay later after 815am to try again. So was unable to walk this day.

5/6/2023 Old Man's Cave pt 24 to Scioto pt 2
Went to Old Man's Cave area with Victoria and Dave. I planned as weekend trip for Saturday in West Union and then hike with them on Sunday, but forecast called for late breaking news of storms for Sunday so it became Friday Seaman hotel and then go to OMC to meet at 10am for Saturday hike. The hike was mixed road and woods and quite nice other than muddy and the areas than seem to overlap with stream gully and a huge hill. But manageable. There was so many jeeps and atvs in the area. Much off roading and mudding in the woods with the 4x4s. This is also amish country and did see 1 buggy and trail went by/through an amish property. Victoria and Dave were nice enough to come to Mam's Rusted Skillet with me and check out the Squatch burger. Quite tasty and recommend for others and future trips. Then went to hotel in Piketon. Both hotels were OK the one in Seaman I've been to before and it's nothing special and the up stairs has a creaks as you walk down the hall. The breakfast was OK and they served a hot breakfast eggs patty and sausage and biscuit. Many other options also. I had an apple and a bagel. I try and keep it light before hiking. The place in piketon was quite nice and sorta small overall not sure it has 2 floors. But nice and seemed recently updated. The breakfast here was similar I believe seaman had gravy and this one did not but the eggs looked better here. But similar.
Hiking we did was meet at Scioto pt2 at the maintenance shelter and then I drove us to near Old Man's Cave pt 24 to the Macedonia Church on Macedonia Church Road, which was mentioned that it was recently sold and it look under construction. We walked from the church through Old Man's Cave pt 24 to Scioto pt 2. Total distance 9.63. It was one way and not out and back YaY.

5/13/2023 Old Man's Cave pt 21 to pt 19
Drove out to hocking hills state park parked at pt21 Ash Cave parking lot. I went toward cedar falls and was successful but I missed the next split off somewhere and came back to the pt19 parking area. That's OK it was fun a bit muddy and rain but no complaints. Looking forward to doing the rest. This was a small out and back 6.37 miles. Tomorrow will meet up with Victoria and Dave.
