6/28/2025 ORC Hike Loveland pt24 to Caesar Creek pt3

This was a rescheduled hikes from February. Joined by Polly, Kim, Kathleen, Marie, and Mindi.

It was a hot day and we had a few hikers doing some additional miles to make good use of the day. Kathleen did some additional miles north from Caesar Creek to meeting spot at Flat Fork Ridge Recreation Area. Also Kim added some of Loveland toward where we would start at Mathers Mill River access. We waited a bit for Marie since she was coming from Indiana and got off at wrong exit. Once we got going all was fine till the road miles and a huge hill seemed to take it out of a few hikers. Two hikers decided not to continue before entering Caesar Creek Nature Preserve. Everyone was ok and they were picked up. Once everyone was back at the end Polly helped drivers and Kim back to Mathers Mill. I drove Kim to Morrow where we had lunch at a new brewery in the old train station. Beer was very good. The food was food truck and today there was pizza. Kim continued to where she started the day and her car.

My miles on this hike a bit shorter than I wished.

One reason I wanted to hike this.

I was missing my track.  Likely forgot or missed the download when I did 4 years of them.

A few of us finished this hike.  A few had issues and I stayed with the first one that stopped.

Everyone was ok.

Took Kim for another piece but first lunch in Morrow.  

Morrow Station is now home to a brewery.

Pizza was from a food truck today it was a pizza truck.

After the hike I drove out to Burr Oak Lodge gor hike Sunday.
