6/29/2025 Stockport pt28 to pt21

6/29/2025 Stockport pt28 to pt21

Joined by Krista. We had a semi crazy idea to go to Stockport for some new miles and attempt to join Jeri for her celebration for her 3x finish on the BT. Krista spent a bit more time here and got at least 1 extra day in the area. We met in Chesterhill at the Library and a public lot near by and then shuttled to the parking in Wolf Creek Wildlife Area on 555 which is slightly off trail but the only available parking nearby. That is semi true since there are some pull offs and things that could be used we saw on our walk. After the walk we were tired and hot and went to the Triple Nickel Diner to cool down a bit and get some grub.

Total 11.52 mi

Bt sections complete 15

Loveland, Ceasar Creek, Troy, Williamsburg, St. Marys, Delphos, West Union, Sinking Spring, Shawnee, Scioto Trail, Old Man's Cave, New Straitsville, Defiance, Pemberville, Norwalk

Bt miles 1 way based on complete sections

45.9mi + 55.1mi + 51.9mi + 51.7mi + 45.5mi + 46.5mi + 58.5mi + 53.9mi + 55.7mi + 61.2mi + 52.5mi +60.6mi + 59.9mi + 56.09 +52.0 mi = 806.99mi

Bt total this year 115.88mi + 11.52mi = 127.40mi

NCT non concurrent this year 0mi

NCT total this year 46.40mi + 11.52mi = 57.92mi

APT this year 56.32mi + 7.76mi = 64.08mi

Adding APT since sorta exploring this a bit now still not gonna say it's a real trail.

ADT non concurrent this year 64.54mi + 10.02mi = 74.56mi

ADT total this year 97.24mi + 11.52mi = 108.76mi

Florida Trail Total this year = 0mi

Total for year 198.49mi + 11.52mi= 210.01mi

Today is day 180 of year,  on track for 365

The miles

Updated hiking map
Fills one gap but that was just since I did not have the track.  Extended this in the south quite a bit in the last two weeks

My car at the Wildlife Area Parking

Krista out in front on 555

Start of trail
This is actually a road

Oh boy these hills all day

Cows hanging out at Shews I think.

This puppy was at Shews Cabin

Big sign for Shews Orchard and cabin.

Old equipment looks like a Mudder tow truck
That could be useful out here

Gravel was well packed down

Large field on the side of trail

Some shade up ahead
When we could get it we loved it

Much of the day felt up hill both ways

Good view of the country side on some hills

Long views and farms
Just dot the landscape

I thought what's left of the tree trunk to the right was interesting

Gravel country roads no traffic

I don't know why these were caged
Many were running around

Cow and a baby cow

Turn here

Sorta 2 track to start

What is this
Is it a road?
Is it the stream?
We had a few such cases and caution was taken.
Especially since we already had one trip with an accident this year.  We decided this would be a terrible spot if that happened.  No issues today.

A bit more water on this one.
No dry feet crossing
BT baptism required perhaps

Sign for trail easement
We were legal YaY

Sign here says something Orchard I think

Beautiful

More water

Back to dry trail

I think 555 we were on very short time between roads in the hills

We turned down this road

Horses having issues with flies

Nice road here
Goes down and curves
No shade lol

Covered mailbox for the street lol
Those mail trucks must take a beating getting back here

Cool barn

Harmony Acres

These goats were cool.
All the babies just want momma

Amish buggies

Curvy and gentle hill

A long slow hill to take the last piece of our soul today.

Turn we made town!!

This slight hill lasted about a mile

Chesterhill trail goes left here.
Only a short amount of concurrent miles BT/ADT remain.

Menu at the Triple Nickle Diner

My order a burger

Krista got the kids meal
Thinking this is not such a bad option lol
