9/16/2023 West Union pt 9 to pt 7
5.96mi
Went to church near pt8 to finish pt9 to pt8. Prior attempt a dog had stopped me just prior to pt8. Not sure what happened but the family I believe had been in a trailer and has moved from the spot. Last time I saw a kid and the dog, but this time nothing was there besides a shell of a wooden structure. So I completed this and went to walk further but not long after ran into more dog. So I drove to pt7 at the church and walked in the other direction to attempt to avoid any issue. I ran into 3 beagals that did not give me any trouble and got back to where the other dog was no issues. All out and back miles. 2.43mi + 3.53mi = 5.96 mi
For completeness I stopped at ponderosa after. It was about an hour drive additional. I passed a cool local place on 62 and almost stopped there. Maybe next time.
Loveland, Ceasar Creek, Troy, Williamsburg, St. Marys, Delphos
Bt miles 1 way based on complete sections
45.9mi + 55.1mi + 51.9mi + 51.7mi + 45.5mi + 46.5 = 296.6mi
nct total this year 170.29 mi + 5.96 mi = 176.25mi
Total for year 206.90 mi + 5.96 mi= 212.86 mi
500/365 = 1.37 x day of year = 354.83
Today is day 259 of year, not on track for 500
First part
Second part
This is the hamster at the parking at the church near pt 8.
View of the turn on the telephone poles at the road intersection of pt 8.
Road side needs some love and this is the road toward pt 9 listed. It does not show the other road.
View down the road at the start near pt 8
Overall much of this was in the shade.
A rare Selfie, although I'm not sure I can say that anymore.
So this corner here is where the dog had stopped me prior. No dog no trailer no trampoline, I guess they moved.
This is the view from the other side toward pt 9 and showing how much further I overlapped my steps for safety.
View heading back down to pt 8.
This is near pt 8 and the intersection is just over the bridge there.
Bridge at the end nearing pt8.
Heading to pt 7 and you can almost see the next turn. It is before the house you see.
A very looking back to pt 8 and the church I parked at.
View of the intersection where you turn.
View down the road after the turn.
And this is after I moved to pt 7. View of the Hamster as I walk away.
There is a large cemetery there at the intersection.
View down the road. It was such a nice day today and even sunny but not hot today.
This overlook I had to get a few of these pictures
Just wow the View does not stop.
There is at least two places with signs like this. Very cool.
Little fuzzy caterpillar.
Challenge here 3 puppies. One barking and the other two did not seem to care. Even the barking dog did not leave the yard.
Giant poke weed plant.
View down the road and it looks like it goes into the darkness but really it's nice and shady.
Closer view of the same above.
Most of pt 7 to pt8 is down hill. I did not notice much till I came back pt 8 to pt7 and that is much tougher.
Just country road
Cool mushroom poking out of this tree here. Almost looks like a turtle shell.
View down the road seems it was recently paved.
Most of the day was shady like this.
I guess a retaining wall.
Little guy
Better view of my friend here
Challenge this is the house where the dog was. He was less issue this time.
Just cool exposed rock here in a gully.
Another view of overlook
Same overlook so nice had to get it twice.
Huge bird flying
Near the over look other side of the road.
Yes that is the bird flying there
Can see pt7 is intersection and the church and graveyard yard just past there where I parked.
